Takaful industry to sustain growth this year
– Salim Majid Zain, Chief Executive Officer of Zurich Takaful Malaysia Berhad said the takaful industry in Malaysia has been enjoying relatively healthy growth amid the challenging landscape and uncertainties in the financial market. Despite the likelihood of a relatively slower momentum in the near, and medium-to-long terms, he said Zurich Takaful foresees that the industry will still enjoy growth due to the low overall takaful and insurance penetration rate (about 55% as of 2015) , improved consumer awareness, product innovation, as well as addition of new distribution channels.
