PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION NOTICE TO PARTICIPANTS OF CONTESTS OR PROMOTION, ORGANIZED BY *ZURICH MALAYSIA

* ZURICH MALAYSIA refers to Zurich General Insurance Malaysia Berhad, Zurich General Takaful Malaysia Berhad, Zurich Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad, Zurich Takaful Malaysia Berhad and all other Zurich Insurance Group subsidiaries operating in Malaysia.

This Personal Data Protection Notice explains how we use personal data of participants of contests or promotion. It outlines the types of data that we hold and how we use it.

1. What do we collect?
a) When you participate in our contests or promotion, information pertaining to you (“Personal Data”) will be collected by us through various channels, and digital platforms including but not limited to websites, social media and e-commerce platforms.
b) The Personal Data collected may include your personal and contact information such as your name, postal address, e-mail address, social network details, identification number, phone number as well as financial information such as your bank account number.

2. Must you provide your Personal Data?
It is obligatory for you to provide us with your Personal Data when wish to participate in our contests or promotion. Otherwise, you will not be able to participate in our contests or promotion.

3. How will we use your Personal Data?
We will use your Personal Data for the purpose of:
a) operations and administration of the contests or promotion organized by us
b) managing your participation in the contests or promotion organized by us
c) delivering reward or prize to you (if any)

4. Who do we share your Personal Data with?
We may disclose your Personal Data for the abovementioned purposes to third party service providers (including those within and outside Malaysia) appointed by us to assist us in managing your participation in the contests or promotion

5. What are your rights in respect of your Personal Data?
You have the right to request in writing, access to and correction of your Personal Data held by us and you may make any enquiries or complaints in respect of your Personal Data by contacting us by dialing 1-300-888-622 or visit our nearest branches to submit your request. You also have the right to request in writing for us to cease processing your Personal Data.

We reserve the right to update and amend this Notice from time to time. We will notify you of any amendments to this Notice via announcements on the Company’s website or other appropriate means. If we amend this Notice, the amendment will only apply to Personal Data collected after we have posted the revised Notice.

In the event of any inconsistencies or discrepancies between the English version and the Bahasa Malaysia version, the English version shall prevail.
